SupportEd president and founder, Diane Staehr Fenner, PhD, will be presenting the conference keynote address titled, Culturally Relevant SEL for Multilingual Learners: Practical Strategies. In this interactive keynote, participants will focus on how to leverage MLs’ strengths and celebrate their assets. Participants will discuss the role of advocacy and leadership in fostering a culturally responsive climate for MLs and will explore a five-step advocacy process to strengthen the perception of MLs and their families in their context. Participants will reflect on practical tools and strategies to leverage leadership skills and support advocacy work in collaborating and co-teaching to accelerate MLs’ outcomes. No matter role, participants will leave with a plan to continue this work in any unique context.
