SupportEd Invites Educators to Multilingual Learner Symposium on June 5
Fairfax, VA — SupportEd, a leader in multilingual learner (ML) education, is honored to invite educators to its highly anticipated virtual Multilingual Learner Symposium on Thursday, June 5, from 10 AM to 4 PM ET. This timely professional learning event is designed for content teachers, ELD teachers, and administrators dedicated to advancing the success of MLs.
The symposium will kick off with a keynote address from Dr. Ayanna Cooper. Dr Cooper is a nationally recognized ML advocate, author, professor at Howard University, and a U.S. Department of State English Language Specialist alumna. Dr. Cooper will be introduced by Dr. Diane Staehr Fenner, president and founder at SupportEd, who will be opening the event with the welcome address.
Attendees will be given the choice of engaging and interactive breakout sessions including topics such as ML newcomers, peer learning, social emotional learning (SEL), and more. All sessions will provide in-depth insights, actionable strategies, and valuable tools to enhance classroom instruction and student engagement.
