Staff Profile: A Look At Mindi Teich

Mindi joined the SupportEd team in 2020 and has served key roles as ML Coach and Project Manager on a number of long-term coaching projects including Metro Nashville Public Schools, Reading, PA, and Together is Better (TIB), a pilot project supporting co-teaching in the School District of Philadelphia. As a coach, Mindi works at school sites to support teachers in planning and delivering lessons that include best practices for MLs. Through discussion with her coached teachers, Mindi identifies target instructional strategies to develop during classroom visits, models lessons, tracks evidence of implementation using a class visit tool, and provides debriefs for teachers and administrators after visits

Flourishing in Specialty Areas

In addition to her work as an ML Coach, Mindi has conducted over 40 professional development sessions and 16 conference sessions during her tenure with SupportEd on a variety of topics including Scaffolding Content, Oral Language Development and Peer Learning, Academic Language, SLIFE, and SEL. Mindi recently conducted professional development for Metro Nashville Public Schools, Massachusetts SLIFE Community of Practice, Reading School District, and KIPP New Orleans.

Mindi also provides technical assistance including conducting needs assessments and consultations for SupportEd partner districts such as Shrewsbury and Hudson Public Schools in Massachusetts, Downingtown Area School District in Pennsylvania, and KIPP New Orleans.
