Coaching cycles that drive lasting instructional change Coaching cycles that drive lasting instructional change
SupportEd’s coaching model is structured as a series of coaching cycles with your school or district. These cycles are framed around instructional practices discussed in corresponding PD sessions. SupportEd’s coaching is designed to be job-embedded and to deepen the learning of your teachers from the professional development sessions. SupportEd’s Coaching Model includes three main components: Baseline Needs Assessment, Coaching Cycles, and Summary Report.
Three Coaching Model Components Three Coaching Model Components
Baseline Needs Assessment Baseline Needs Assessment
All coaching partnerships begin with a comprehensive annual Baseline Needs Assessment.
This essential first step allows SupportEd coaches to gain a clear understanding of each school’s and educator’s unique needs.
By evaluating the current state, we can collaboratively set meaningful goals for upcoming coaching cycles. The baseline needs assessment includes five distinct strategies designed to collect and analyze data effectively, ensuring a targeted and informed coaching plan.

Summary Report Summary Report
The final component of the SupportEd coaching model is the Summary Report.
ML Coaches develop a comprehensive report that includes key findings, progress updates, and recommended next steps. ML Coaches meticulously walk through the report with both administrators and educators to provide clear insights and guide informed data-driven decision-making at the conclusion of the coaching cycle.
